Housing assistance
The amount of the grant varies according to your income, the amount of the rent and the size of the accommodation. The allowance can be up to half the amount of your rent. Don't waste time putting together this file, the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) will only pay you the money once the complete file has been submitted and processed.
To compile the file, you must bring the following documents:
- a photocopy of an identity document (residence permit or authorisation of residence of more than 3 months for foreign students),
- the rent receipt in your name,
- a photocopy of the lease or rental agreement which must be in your name,
- a bank statement,
- a statement of income (in euros).

VISALE, AID FOR RENTAL GUARANTEES
In the event that relatives cannot provide a guarantee for the student's future accommodation, Visale is the free 100% guarantor for all adult students.
Offered by Action Logement, the Visale guarantee provides everyone, without means testing, with a free rental deposit for all types of accommodation (student residences, independent accommodation, shared accommodation, flats, studios, rooms).

Independent studio
It is necessary to count approximately 400 euros excluding charges for electricity and water for a furnished studio in town.
